Day 1

On the first day, we cleared the immigration checkpoints. Then we changed to a malaysian registered coach to continue our journey to Negeri Sembilan, Seremban. Along the way we had a pit-stop at Yong Peng where we had lunch & stocked up on snacks & food. After which we continued our journey to Kampong Pelegong, Seremban.

Upon reaching the enterance of kampong Pelegong,we had to walk a fair distance before we reached the venue for all our activites. being the first "lucky" class to go for the kampong tour when the scorching hot noonday sun was its hottest and under the seige of mosquitoes with their incessant buzzing. We walked along an assortment of paths. Tar roads, dirt paths, etc, you name it we walked it.

We were shown a variety of flora such as rubber trees & were told how latex was tapped from these trees. We also saw the guava plantations, planted by the villagers. & we had to keep our eyes wide open as more foten than not, along the paths were freshly made fertilizers: cow dung!

Subsequently, we went fishing, Kampong-style equipped with a bamboo rod, bait & string. Simple yet effective. Those who were willing to try caught small fishes & felt a sense of accomplishment. On the way back, we walked through the guava plantations where we were treated to refreshing ice-cold guava sprinkled with sour plum powder. After our little break, we embarked once again on a tiring trek back for a traditional Minangkerbau dinner.
